the journey so far...
Nimrita is a musician, composer, recording engineer and songwriter. Born and brought up in London, UK, she showed a love for music from a very young age.
Nimrita was diagnosed as autistic from the early age of five and often struggled with communication. Music became a source of familiarity and she often recorded in her home studio and quickly learned how digital music worked. In time, Nimrita would record her vocals, learn how to manage and arrange a project and compose with MIDI instruments using Logic Pro mainly.
From there, she progressed into college and university, earning diplomas in 2016 and eventually graduating with a degree in Music Technology and Performance in 2019. As well as studying, she did projects on the side such as shadowing the technical crew in the BBC’s radio show ‘Loose Ends’ on two occasions, working online with Memcorp, an immersive learning gaming company based in India as a music composer and writer for a year and having work experience at Media Molecule as a play-tester for their newest game ‘Dreams’.
As well as being a recording engineer and multi-faceted musician (singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist), Nimrita is passionate about writing music and composing for video-games, podcasts, dance and films respectively.

In May 2022, Nimrita worked at Little Red Dog Games as their Audio Engineer. Working remotely on their game, the roles she plays has been varying and different, from creating sound design for the simplest of actions made by the player, to effective ambience and finally music for background and theme purposes. During all of this, Nimrita has remained a freelance music composer and sound designer and is an enthusiastic and passionate composer, musician and overall audio person, keen to work on new projects in any media.
